In June of 2010, I left my 42 year old Girard-Perregaux watch w/ Service Jewelry for repair. I had felt something inside the watch snap as I was performing its daily winding. I received the watch as a gift from in June of 1969 and wore it almost continually for over forty years. I was charged almost $300.00 to clean and repair this watch. I was reluctant to pay that much for repair but it was a family heirloom & of a unique design. I picked the watch up approx. 4 weeks later and found that the watch would only run about 8 hours between windings. It normally ran for over 24 hours before the repair. I returned the it to the store & it was sent back to the shop. After 3 cancer operations I picked it up on 11-2-10. I was told that it ran 18 hrs between winding & it had a safety inside to prevent overwinding. This is lie, it is as it was earlier. WARNING - DO TAKE ANY WIND UP WATCH TO SERVICE FOR REPAIR, THEY DO NOT HAVE ANYONE ON STAFF THAT KNOWS HOW TO WIND A WATCH MUCH LESS REPAIR ONE

I recently had several pieces of jewelry repaired at Service Jewelry and Repair in Brentwood. The service was more than courteous, very friendly and helpful. While my jewelry was being repaired, I had the opportunity to interview for a special position in my company. I needed to look my best and that meant I needed my jewelry back as soon as possible. The staff at Service Jewelry went out of their way to get everything ready for me at a much earlier time. They truly understood my situation and wanted to help me. Needless to say, I received my necklace and watch back beautifully repaired and in time for my interview. I don't know if I got the job yet, but I do know I looked professional and "put together" and I have Service Jewelry to thank for a large part of that. Thanks!!!!! I will be back.
