Sitters & More offers in-home childcare and non-medical elder care services throughout western and middle Tennessee. During their previous careers in the home health care industry, the company s founders, Betty Peevyhouse and Sherry Hunt, noticed that many of their clients lacked care that could be performed by non-medical staff. As a result, the first Sitters & More office was opened in 1999. The company tends to the non-medical needs of elderly people in their homes or in hospitals, nursing homes and assisted living centers. Its in-home childcare service offers more focused attention than a day care center that caters to many children. With offices in Brentwood and Chattanooga, Tenn., Sitters & More employs more than 400 people.
