Family Schools, founded in 1980, offers year-round education, recreation and training programs to more than 280 students. It hosts programs for kids from infancy through preschool in its schoolhouse building, which includes nursery, preschool and child care. The school promotes academic development of toddlers and preschool students, and develops specific academic skills within basic concepts, such as space and time, symbolization, energy transfer, and creativity. Its preschool curriculum includes free play, exercise, welcoming circle, workshops, and leave-taking. Family School admits infant campers at the Brewster Day Camp as part of the young children s program. The school is located in Brewster, Mass.
