Established in 1980, Multicultural Magnet School offers a range of educational and extracurricular programs for students from kindergarten through grade eight. Its curriculum focuses on Spanish and Portuguese languages. The school also offers courses in art, music and social studies. Its fine arts program includes string orchestra, chorus, dance and art appreciation. The school also serves morning and afternoon meals that include sandwiches, pizzas, fruits, rolls, nuggets and eggs. Located in Bridgeport, Conn., Multicultural Magnet School is a part of Bridgeport Public Schools, which consists of more than 35 educational facilities. The district serves over 21,000 students and employs nearly 1,500 staff members.
