I have been involved with sailing for about 40 years so I have been in my fair share of equipment shops. My experience today at the Boat Locker in Bridgeport was an absolute delight.

The owner took his time and answered what must have seemed like a thousand questions from me. He was knowledgable and VERY helpful. He also gave me a tour of his new location and I was impressed by the facilities and selection. If you need ANYTHING to get racing on a small boat... This is the place to go.

Sailing equipment is often expensive. It is what it is. I found the prices here to be quite reasonable and I even found a few bargains.

While I can't proclaim to know much about kayaks or stand up paddle boards, it sure seemed like the Boat Locker had a great selection of those as well.

I will return any time I need a part, a new boat or some gear.

I met Scott and his associate Rick, who work at the Boat Locker, at the NYC boat show last year and was able to secure a great deal on a 2015 Hobie Outback. Scott ended up being very helpful in helping me choose accessories for my boat without pushing me towards unnecessary extras that I really didn't need. I am beyond satisfied with my boat and the service provided by the employees at the boat locker. Whenever I had a question about maintaining my mirage drive or installing a new fish finder, there was always a friendly face I knew I could rely on.

I've dealt with the owner, Scott, on numerous occasions having purchased multiple Hobie Kayaks from him and he it the ultimate gentlemen and always provides competitive pricing. I've referred numerous friends to the store and will keep coming back even though I live in NYC.
