When you donate goods to The Salvation Army, those items are then sold at our Thrift Stores. Proceeds are used to fund our Adult Rehabilitation Centers, where those struggling with drugs and alcohol find help, hope, and a second chance at life.

I had used the online request to order a pickup. I was called Monday morning questioning one of the items I had checked off on the form. The earliest date was Oct 4th. On Oct 3rd I rec'd a call for estimated pick up time between 12:30-2:30pm. On Oct 4th, I rec'd a call at 9:59am stating that the truck was at the location. Since I was at work, I didn't notice the call until 11:13am. I immediately called back questioning why they came so early & spoke to Amanda who was telling me that the estimated time I was given could be any time! I did not agree, since I was previously given the two hour window in the afternoon. I asked to speak to her manager, Jonathan, who told me they were short due to call outs. Why wasn't I called? I wanted them to come back at the quoted time, since I had someone scheduled to be there. I was told that the earliest time would be last pickup of the day between 4-6pm, closer to 6. I had also asked to receive a phone call (30min) before the truck came. At 6:15pm I received a phone call from the person waiting in my place that the Salvation Army hadn't come yet; I also didn't receive a phone call. I called the Salvation Army & spoke to Leandra. She called the driver. He never rec'd the information to pickup my items at the later time. Leandra was very apologetic and told me she could reschedule me for Oct 12th. I declined.
