The sales associates didn't know where the keys were, They wouldn't let us test drive the car because they thought we were low balling them, when we made a "throw out a number" offer. Even when our offer was comparative to KBB (The car was priced 3k over KBB.) They immediately rejected us and didn't even attempt to negotiate a reasonable deal. Then proceeded to take the keys. We were also willing to pay cash but their first impression is that we would finance who knows where they got that basis. They were rude. I called them back and talked to the owner. To explain what happened. Explained why we made the offer, (It was due to a ton of researched potential issues specifically to the car especially because it had over 200000 miles) and also explain that we just wanted to see if the car performed as you stated it did. I'm keen to the background to the type of car and wanted some assurance of the issues before we begin negotiating a reasonable deal. Don't purchase the car unless you do some research. They might take you for more than its worth.
