When calling for my "free" bulk pick up day I was told that it's only one item that is free and $15 each additional item. Verbatim "there is a free bulk pick up day on the customer's third pick up day of the month January-October." Somehow that translates to only one item free because there is no room in the truck. Oh but if you pay me $30 more there magically is room. The representative spoke to me like I was an idiot, the supervisor Regina basically referred to me as trashy because I would not keep trash in my home for 3 months until the next free pickup (really?) and the dispatcher Pete had the same answer for everything-it's our policy. No where on their website does it state ONE bulk item free $15 each additional item. False advertising and terrible customer service plus spotty pick up. Their website says they are "committed to treating all customers with dignity, respect, and integrity." I have yet to speak with someone at that company who portrays that. :(

Terrible company. Do bare minimum because they know you can't switch companies

Having problems with recurrent missed pick ups despite having the trash at the curb the night before the pickup. They want to charge me EXTRA to come back for the pick up!!

I have a shop behind a bar that uses them the driver drops more bottles in the streets than they get into the truck sloppy and lazy to the extreme

I live behind the bar on Broadway and robbers called highlights, every time they dump the container, there's glass in bottles everywhere, I brought it to his attention of the driver, and he says that you're on a time schedule you don't have time the clean it up, so since this corporation doesn't want to address the issue or matter, I'm getting a hold of my alderman, local law enforcement, and city inspectors, and maybe once they get us citation issued by the State they will start addressing never matters. since I don't want to listen to the little people.

We have had Meridian Waste Services for a few months now. The service has been outstanding. They show up promptly early in the morning every week. Their prices are extremely reasonable. I've talked to customer service several times and the reps are very kind and helpful. I've referred several neighbors to this company and everyone has been very satisfied with the service. Highly recommended!

The person who posted the first review was obviously not on the same route as we are. We've had nothing but EXCELLENT & FRIENDLY service from the very beginning with Meridian! We were previously with Allied and they were no where near as timely or as friendly. Sondra was the person who signed us up over the phone & she was a kind lady. Thank you for you service!

This is the worst trash company ever! The first time they picked up they were drinking on the job (when we reported that they didn't seem to care), the second time they never showed, and we haven't seen them since! They have cashed my check, taken my money, and taken me for a ride. I have reported them to the Better Business Bureau (they are also called Crown Disposal in case you want to look them up at the BBB. The number is314 645 3300). I tried talking with the owners, but they are never available and never call me back. The staff is rude, especially Sandra, who screamed at me on the phone (I did not raise my voice once). I would suggest Allied, I have them now and they are kind, efficent, and not drunk on the job!
