It's an adequate weekly activity. However, if you are looking for consistency and a program that instills some core values of mutual respect and consideration, you should probably look for a more established program. We have given the program many years (unfortunately) and at the end of the day there is no foundation of values that one expects when taking up martial arts. There is a core group of families and friends that are active within the school and that provides for a lack of inclusion as well as a lack of support and guidance. Newer students are not led by example and i liken it to getting teenage ego from adults.

MacDermott's Tang Soo Do has changed it's name to Precision Tang Soo Do. It has the same instructors and same locations, except the Bridgewater location. The Bridgewater location changed to the Bridgewater Sports Complex at 350 Bedford St Bridgewater, MA 02324. The new contact phone number is 508-982-7524.

The school still offers the same low price, same level of instruction, and same traditional values. The only thing that changed was the name.

My family has been going to MTSD for quite a few years now. It's everything you're looking for in a karate school, parents especially. The kids enjoy it, the instructors are quality, personable, and easy to talk to, and it's only 45 dollars per month with no contracts which was something i couldn't get from any of the area karate schools!!! There's the perfect amount of discipline and fun for the kids. Meanwhile parents have piece of mind knowing that the instructors know what they're doing and that they're teaching the kids self defense techniques that work all blended in with all the traditional aspects of the Martial Art.
