The Box Elder News Journal is an amalgam of two newspapers, the Box Elder Journal and Box Elder News, which merged in the 1930 s. With its office in Brigham City, Utah, the news journal focuses on the events and places of Box Elder County community events such as school plays, Boy Scouts, spelling bee winners, ribbon cuttings, local business, weddings and anniversaries, city and county government and local news. In 1996, Box Elder News Journal won the Utah Press Association's general excellence award.

Great small-town newspaper

I place classified adds for my business in the BENJ. The rates are quite reasonable and advertisement in BENJ has increased my business many-fold. This newspaper is read quite heavily from Perry/Willard to Tremonton/Garland.
