Hello - My name is Charles Young. I am a guitar, math and software development tutor accepting students in Brighton and Thornton for Fall 2017 through Spring 2018. I work with math students in the subjects of Algebra, Trigonometry and Calculus. I have a B.S in Mathematics from Idaho State University and many hours of experience as a math tutor. I teach programming languages (C++, Java, Python etc.) and all aspects of software engineering. I have over 30 years of experience in Software Engineering in commercial and scientific applications. With guitar students I teach finger-style after Segovia, use 'The Christopher Parkening Guitar Method - Volume 1 and 2. ' I show the student how to apply this technique to blues, classical, folk and gospel music. Song playing and tone are emphasized. I encourage students to ask questions they may be reluctant to ask in class. I provide individual attention helpful to the student in maintaining the pace of a course. I also help the student with any previous course material that needs attention. Charles Young
