My wife and 1 yo son had to take me to the ER I was having severe stroke symptoms.. Got there and was told I was causing the symptoms I was having because my wife was caring for me because I could hardly speak and my left side was completely numb! I was having trouble walking and instead of a wheel chair I was MADE to walk to the exam room! I then waited for 45 mins to even see a dr because they were insistent that I was causing my problems lol (nurses) I eventually got delirious and they attacked me calling a code green 4 times and the dr told my wife she couldn't keep me and that I seemed just fine and that this was phycological and my blood work was normal .. As I'm walking into walls and talking! Then I was called a drug addict and my wife who was defending my honor telling them no my husband is sick and refused to let them release me and insisted on a spinal tap ... They eventually sedated me so much I almost needed a tube to breath! They cut my jeans looking for track marks and did std checks without letting my wife be in the room and I was unconscious by this time. Then thanks to my wife's ability to insist I was sick and not a drug addict they find out I have viral meningitis ! They were going to make me leave! I went to icu where my care improved but then the next day a nurse from the ER in appropriately comes to my room telling me how good looking I am and how handsome I am and how strong I am! She made me and my wife feel extremely feel uncomfortable with her inappropriate conversation and adding to it she admitted going back into my chart to see my information! The next day we were released and we got 2 unavailable calls to our phone unavailable .... Not only am I completely afraid to go to a ER now I also seem to have a nurse who inappropriatly talks to her patients! My wife and I felt very hopeless and violated thru this whole event and would never recommend or go to this hospital ever again.

When it comes to a serious disease (cancer) make sure you get a second opinion.

I had to find a new place for my annual mammo, and tried Platte Valley. So pleased! They took me just minutes after my appointment time Personnel very nice. It'll be my regular place from now on!

Patients often feel like they are impositioned when having to wait in the waiting room for a doctor way past their appointment time. For those of you who sat in the waiting room at Platte Valley Internal Medicine a few weeks ago while one of their caring doctors treated my father,I apologize for your wait. However, words cannot say enough for all that doctor's effort and care that he gave my father that past week-and-a-half. I appreciate both the care and professional diligence he exhibited at this trying time. I particularly appreciate his perseverance at the difficult time with my mother, in insisting that he was doing the right thing. While I understand the strain she was under, particularly knowing how bad his health was and their agreement regarding life support systems, obviously, Dad was not on his "last leg" and that doctor's professional diligence truly saved the day! I cannot say thank you enough, but I will try, THANK YOU, you represent the finest of your profession.

My experience with Platte Valley Medicine has been extremely easy. I found the ladies in the front area to be friendly and cordial. I did have to wait for a very short time, which is fine with me as I know the doctor gives me the same respect and time as he does to all his patients even if it takes a little longer.

The only reason I haven't switched is because I hate having my records moved around. Slow to answer the phone (on hold forever). Told the doctors I had been dealing with something for over a week, and they suggested I go to the ER, and that the doctors couldn't see me for another two days. When I've gone, the waiting time is horrendous. When you finally are seen, the nurses act like they want to kick you out immediately. I am a younger person and they see older patients, so I am wondering if this is why I get treated so poorly? I've had it and will get my records and move on.
