Zero stars is really what I would give. This is like a nightmare I can't wake up from. I went in for a simple haircut of one-length to my shoulders and slight A-line angle in the front and walked out with it cut nearly up to my ears! I'm devastated and angry. I left in tears and cried for hours. I want to cry every time I look in the mirror. I couldn't even sleep, I'm so upset. I wanted NO LAYERS and I have extremely poorly executed "Kate plus eight" style absolutely horrible layers from the top of the back of my head all the way down. Nothing is even, it's thicker and longer on one side than the other, there are uneven pieces all over, the layers I didn't even want are really bad, I mean, the list just goes on and on. Allison did a worse job than if I gave a pair of shears to my 5-year-old to cut my hair. Then, they patronize me like I'm an idiot by telling me that it will grow back....IN A YEAR! How is that supposed to make me feel better?

Jessica does a fabulous job! If it's not just how you want it she will fix it for free!! Love her love the salon!

DanDrae is the Best of the Best. She always achieves my hair color and cut every time. I am never disappointed when I leave. You are pampered when you walk into Rumors and when you leave. The staff is very knowledgable in Aveda products they sell. The atmosphere and decorating of the salon and spa are breath taking very tasteful. I am always happy when I leave.

The price's are out of control and the service is wonderful until your dissatisfied, then they get very hateful and say well I'm sorry you had a bad experiance but there really isn't anything we can do. We hope you come back again. WOW! Really... thats great customer service!!

Rumors is absolutely beautiful inside - the building used to be a church but they renovated it perfectly for a spa. I have not had my hair done here but have enjoyed spa services - massage, facial, and pedicure. All were wonderful. Mindy is the BEST EVER massage therapist! She takes care to find out where you need the massage most, and is very thorough in her work. I have been to many salons for massage and have never experienced a better massage. The salon also hosts a wonderfully generous Customer Appreciation event, which I attended, that had food, drinks, prizes, and free mini-services. Gave me a chance to meet a few of the stylists and find out more about their services. My sister won a drawing full of Aveda bath products. Highly recommended Spa!!! :o)

After reading some of the responses on Yelp, I realize that some people have no clue what they are talking about. I noticed a post from someone on 6-22-10 talking about a bad experience with a hairstylist that is no longer employed by Rumors. I'm a loyal customer to the salon and have been since it opened and know that this salon only employs the best of the best. Even the Brighton newspaper, The Blade, has named some of their stylists as the best in town and this IS coming from actual customers. I'm confident the staff at rumors has the training to make me feel comfortable no matter who provides my services.

I got an hour pedicure at the salon and to be honest my feet have never been smoother...ever. Most pedicures will leave your feet really greasy and dry skin returns by the next day. My pedicure was almost 1 week ago and my feet are still baby bottom smooth. Only down side is that the nail polish is kind of messy. It looks almost like a 10yr painted my nails. Other then that it was worth the $50.

I use to go to this salon religiously regardless of their high prices. Nancy use to be the best there until....I set up an apointment, was totally excited about, for a color and cut, they booked me for 2hrs, she colored my hair and BOOM she disappeared. They had this girl misty i believe was or is her name, do my nails while i was waiting for the color to sit. She doesnt know how to do a french manicure, it was crooked and she was rude when i said i didnt like it and asked "well what am i suppose to do" i just had her wash it off and after the second attempt it was still blah so i went to a solid coat which she still found a way to jack up. After that she was designated to cut my hair since Nancy just skipped out and never checked to see how my color came out even. Gawd I wish i could remember this girls name I know it started with a M though anyways she jacked my hair up so bad, layered it to where the top of my hair was totally short and the cut was short, chopped my bangs, i was

Great stylists, the best pedicures around

I love thier products, a little pricy but they are worth it. I have yet to get a stylist that doesn't send you out looking like your grandmother or a freaky teenager.
