Provided by YP.comI am writing to inform everyone of the unfortunate experience we had with the company, Motor City Party Bus. This was a company we were referred to due to our original party bus company going out of business a few months before our wedding. Because we had trusted our former party bus company’s word, we transferred our deposit to Motor City Party Bus.
From the beginning, we unfortunately were not treated the best by the company’s employees. Tim Siepierski, the manager, took our deposit and asked what type of bus we wanted to book. We requested to see a couple of the 20+ passenger buses in person first in order to make our decision. Tim was not thrilled with this idea, but after a few requests, set up an appointment with us to meet at the Motor City Party Bus location in White Lake Township. Tim was fifteen minutes late to the appointment, and commented a couple of times how he was doing us a very big favor by meeting with us because he normally does not do this. Tim proceeded to tell us that the terribly rusted out back panels on the 30 passenger bus we were interested in should be replaced with new ones by the time our wedding date arrived. (At this point in time, we were four weeks away from the date, and he also mentioned they have been waiting for them to arrive from a backorder that was placed a while ago).
Also on the lot, we looked at a 20 passenger bus that seemed to be in pretty good condition. We asked if the 20 passenger bus would be available for use for our wedding date, but were told we had to get in touch with Loretta in the main office to find out. On our way home from White Lake, we spoke to Loretta, who had said the bus had another event that evening, but would be able to accommodate us during the day. Because of the backorder on the 30 passenger bus, we booked the 20 passenger bus with Loretta that day.
A week before the wedding, we called and e-mailed Loretta, giving her all of the times and addresses for the day’s events, and two days before the wedding, we called and confirmed all times and addresses with Loretta once more. The day of the wedding, the limo bus was to meet the guys at the hall at 1:30 p.m. to pick them up and transport them to the church. At 1:45 p.m., there was still no sign of the limo, and no call from the company to say that anything was wrong. My fiancé had to call Tim, the limo company manager we dealt with previously, to get an explanation. Tim said that their office administrator, Loretta, was out of the office doing promotions that day, and did not communicate that there was an event that day.
This lack of professionalism led to the guys having to drive themselves to the church, and the girls stranded without a ride as well. Because of Motor City Party Bus, I arrived to my ceremony only ten minutes before it started, and completely upset. It was horrible to be left stranded on one of the most important days of my life, especially when I took the proper steps to ensure all was taken care of beforehand. What made it even more disappointing was that we never got an apology from the company for what had been done.
