Provided by SuperpagesWe place our greyhound here at least 3 or 4 times a year for about a week at a time. Belle loves it here! The service is friendly and courteous, and they take good care of our girl. It is comforting to us to know that she will get a daily walk and not be stuck all day in a cage. It is a little bit of a drive for us to get here, but it is well worth it.

Provided by SuperpagesMy dog Bear LOVES Rivermist. He can't wait to get back to the kennel area. The office staff know us by name. They do a great job bathing him before is bouncing out the door to go home. I can relax on vacation knowing my dog is well cared for.

Provided by SuperpagesOur dogs are always happy to go there and have no problem when they are taken back to the kennel area. The people at the desk are always nice as is the manager. The kennel itself and the setting is nicer than any of the other kennels we have tried in the area and that's why we continue to use them. When we get the dogs they are happy, clean and smell fine. They always call us if there's a problem or a question and will let us know if they noticed something is wrong with one of them when we pick them up which we always previously knew about. Some of the reviews I read were not very nice, but I think they take them to heart and work out the problems. I've recommended Rivermist to several people. It's in a beautiful area too!

Provided by SuperpagesMy 2 little dogs were so happy the first time I picked them up from the kennel that I've not hesitated to bring them back for repeat visits. They get so excited when we pull in to the driveway there that I know I've made the right choice in kennels!

Provided by SuperpagesI recently boarded my 7 year old dog at Rivermist, and to say I was unsatisfied is an understatement. When I picked her up, I went to put her collar on and noticed that over her 5 days there, she developed a hematoma in her ear. The ear cavity was so swollen and filled with blood, she couldn't hold her head up. I began to question the staff on when it had happened, and the answer I received was "a few days ago." Nobody bothered to call and let me know what was going on with her, nor did they inform me of the issue when I arrived to pick her up. I have a hard time believing these people truly care about animals, if they let her walk around in agony for several days. DO NOT leave your pets with this establishment.

Provided by SuperpagesMy dog was happy when he left. That's very telling.

Provided by SuperpagesWhen I picked my dog up at the facility, he smelled AWFUL and was wet. It was raining all weekend long, and I'm guessing he was exposed to the elements. He is a very well-groomed and cared for animal, and was in excellent condition when he was dropped off. When we walked into the foyer at home, I realized his feet were bleeding. It looked like someone took it upon themselves to cut his nails so ridiculously short that they bled - either that, or he was so stressed out that he ran up and down the concrete run until his nails wore down... which I doubt. He is not a nervous dog. Either way, I will NEVER take him back there - I felt so guilty.
