Definitely not recommended by us. We suggest you follow the Department of Consumer Protection Connecticut guidelines and contact the last twelve owners of homes this contractor has constructed. There was a tax problem on the property that was concealed from us, we were intentionally mislead about how we could use the property, a foundation that was required to be removed was buried instead, quotes from his own vendors did not match what we were charged and he refused to produce receipts and altered the few he did give us even though we funded the entire project, when questioned about a neighboring commercial property he claimed he didn't know anything when in fact they had applied for a zoning change 2 years earlier to make improvements that was approved and all adjacent property owners were notified, he told us it would take 6-8 months then only worked on it a few days a week and never on a Friday costing us twice as much loan interest and taking 12 months, the contractor is a real estate salesman and only visited the work site instead of being on site to supervise which lead to numerous mistakes. He decided which defiencies to correct that the building inspector found. Some are still not fixed because he considers them a nuisance item. Our attorney advised that getting the word out to others is the most cost effective way of dealing with contractors like him because he has already taken advantage of us.
