I purchased a bot at laurel marine in 1996, turns out it was a demo that they sold me for new and had the hours meter disconnected, I traded the boat with them in 1998 for a Crowline 210 ccr, a $34,000 at the time, after waiting two week for them to CHECK the boat out (it was in stock), went to pick it up and the trim tabs did not function, after another week, received the boat and one battery was missing, I was told that the boat only comes with one battery. but it had a place for two,so I insisted on a second battery, so they installed a used battery on a $34,000 boat ( PAID cash by the way) brought the boat home it rained and the cabin flooded, two more weeks for that! went to go insure the boat and trailer, insurance informed me it was a 1995 trailer on a 1998 boat! (I have had brake problem till this day because of rust in the system)Their excuse was it was a better trailer than the one it came on, by this time I was tired of fooling with them! Trim tabs never got fixed but, a duo prop boat did not seem to need them. Fast forward in approx 2007 I brought the boat to laurel marine, to try to sell it, it sat on their lot for approx 6 months, with about 119 hours on it, I brought it home and it has been winterized since, I de -winterized it with no problems except the tilt trim pump sounded like it had marbles in it, it locked up quickly, In looking at the pump it look almost new and unused, it turns out the magnets were broken inside the motor, in trying to locate a pump motor, VIA the original part number on the motor, the part number was only used on a 2001 and later pump, 1999 and earlier used a different number, My boat is immaculately maintained and has never been worked on, it only had approx 119 hours on it, it NEVER has been to anyone for service but laurel marine so......... how did a 2001 or later part get on a 1998 boat? Yes i am an idiot for giving them a second and third chance to screw me, Crownline is a GREAT boat I would purchase another, IN KNOXVILLE!
