I have several mounts that Chris Ford did for me. First of all Chris is very knowledgeable about hunting, fishing, and taxidermy. He is an excellent choice for anyone that wants a great quality mount, no matter what game. His fish are beautiful and deer are immaculate, but the best part of Critters is the service. I feel that I am not just another mount that he has to get done. I think he really puts his heart into his work for the customer. It’s obvious when you see his mounts. I don’t know what "josh" is talking about.

I recommend Critters Taxidermy to anybody who needs a good mount done. I've known the owner almost all my life and I can say that he is sincerly dedicated to his work. When it comes to mounts Critters has all the rest beat. I have a mounts that they done for me ten years ago and they look as alive as when I first saw them in the woods. Their work is the best and most decently priced I've seen in Bristol and I reccomend them to everyone I know.

All of this plus their fair prices and speedy return time are why Critters always will be my taxidermist of choice. I have taken my deer to Critters for the past five years and intend to do so from now on so if you are in the Bristol area and in need of a first class taxidermist then Critters is your place.

I have been goin to critters taxidermy for ten years chris ford has mounted several pieces for me fish,foxes,bobcats,minks,squirrals,deer i have always been completly satisfied with his work an prices an the time it took to get my mount back. i have watched him work while picking up or droping pieces off an fell like that chris treats every job as if it was his own an going to be on his own wall. an i feel like if for some reason i had a problem with something i would be a big enuf person to tell him an im sure he would make it right an do anything he could to keep his customers instead of goin on the internet an writting a review. i have dozens of friends an family that use critters an have never had a problem.i have friends stationed 7hrs away on the coast in camp lejeune n.c. in the marines that arrange for there mounts to be done at critters an wont go anwhere else. i highly recomend critters taxidermy for your mounts.

This is in reference to so called "Josh" and his reveiw. I checked my records for 2009 there was no one droped off or picked up a deer that year with that name. I have always took the up most care and work in my shop with each mount and if anyone has not been satisfied with my work no one has said.If everyone that reads this knew the pass history with Strutt and Rut Taxidermy that I trained They might think that this is a cheap shot for buisness!! Everyone that is getting a mount done should frist check out there work at the Taxidermys shop.

I killed a large BUCK in Illionis last year, 2009. Critters Taxidermy in Bristol Va. mounted my deer. The deer looks realistic, he done a great job on the eyes , nose , mouth and ears.Great facial expressions.He mounted my deer in 40 days just like our contract said.He is reasonable and does great work. My deer had several scars and flaws in the skin and he fixed all of them.I looked at Critters Taxidermy's work and reviewed his mounts before I used him. His work has been noted on WJHL channel 11 news in Johnson City, Tn. My son and Iwill take our big Illionis Bucks to him any day. I am very satisfied with his work. Other people I know have been well satisfied too.

PLEASE READ THIS I had a deer mounted at critters last year and I am not pleased with it at all. It took him longer to mount it than what he told me and the deer allready lookes like it is an old mount cracking around the eyes and pulling around the lip. DO not go to him I will not go back to him I have killed another deer this year and I have took it to Strut & Rut taxidermy and I have allready got it back and it is great I have sent my friends to him also and the like his work also I now am taking every thing to Strut & Rut Taxidermy now and I hope you do the same.
