It all started in 2000 when longtime friends Troy Bigham and Jim Gilbride opened the doors of Buckeye Distributing, Inc They left their jobs in corporate America gambling that they could build a successful business distributing a brand new category item, Red Bull energy drink, in Ohio. In the early stages, product was delivered to Troy's garage, and, sold and delivered to customers using Troy's and Jim's family vehicles. At that point, no one could have imagined the success the company would have.Always thinking and planning ahead, the company embarked on a key step in its long term plan in 2007. Buckeye expanded its offerings starting its Wine Division by representing Ohio based Raven's Glenn Winery. In a very short period of time, Buckeye has grown into a full-service, statewide broker and distributor of wines from all over the world.In 2009, the company again expanded its catalogue adding New Age Beverage brands Nesquik, Arizona Iced Tea and Myoplex. Today the catalogue continues to grow as the company brings category leaders and innovative, new brands to the market.The owners of Buckeye include J. Troy Bigham, Terry Bigham, and Jim Gilbride. The company employs more than 100 sales, delivery, warehouse, technology and administrative support people. Corporate offices are located in the Cleveland suburb of Broadview Heights. Sales and distribution centers are located in Broadview Heights, Columbus, West Chester and Northwood, giving us the ability to serve customers in 64 of Ohio's 88 counties and 7 counties in northern Kentucky.
