I went in to get my hair braided and based on the reviews I expected mediocre service but since I was extremely desperate, I gave it a shot.
She was very kind and understanding of what I wanted and the atmosphere was very homey. (they even offered me to eat with them lol)
They did my hair perfectly and made sure that I was satisfied. They even showed me the first braid and allowed me to make changes (if necessary) early on.

Astou is the best and the hair lasts very long (10000/10)

I went to Astou on 09/19/2015 to get Senegalese twist. I was shown a picture of a style on the wall of the shop. I was told that it would cost $200.00.



When the lady finished with my hair it looked nothing like the Senegalese twist in the picture. My twist where big. The roots were braided then twisted at the end. I told Astou that my twist did not look like the picture I told her that they are big and I wanted then small like the picture for $200.00, the live that She quoted. She told me that I owe $200.00. I was very disappointed because I didn't get what I paid for.

Stay away! Rude, poor customer service, takes way too long and I couldn't get a final price out of anyone. Kids everywhere...Not a professional at all. Ended up paying almost $80 more than my original quote! Because my braids were small? When I specifically asked for medium braids.
