Provided by YP.comI read some of the terrible reviews and decided to try this place anyway because of my love of Caribbean cuisine. We ordered oxtail and curried goat. The oxtails were very tender, the curried goat was excellent, and the plantains were to DIE for! Definitely check this place out!

Provided by YP.comI have been waiting to see when Babu's was going to open and stopped by on June 14. My wife had the Chicken Jerk wrap and I had the Jerk Chicken sandwich. The wrap was excellent! The sandwich was somewhat lacking with filling but was still good. I know this was there second day open so give the restaurant a break as they work out the kinks. The sandwiches came with a generous amount of fries which were perfectly fried.
I will try again!
Returned to Babu's Jerk Joint this afternoon.
We ordered 4 chicken jerk wraps and a jerk burger and bacon cheeseburger. I also ordered chicken jerk rice.
I will try and have the other four rate the food online, but the five of us that ate the wraps and burgers all gave the food 4 stars. The chicken was 'burnt' as it should be when eating 'jerk'. It was moist and delicious. All the wrap had the mild hot sauce and there were no leftovers!!

Provided by YPmobileInfortunetly, I was very dissapointed. It's one thing to have a soft opening. That is when you figure out The kinks. But once your open you should be truly open. I changed my plans to specifically come from far to eat some amazing jerk chicken. This was not the case. The chicken was just burnt with no jerk seasoning at all and I spent $32.00 on an inedible meal. I am still flossing the burnt pieces out of my teeth. I wish them well and hope they fix the kinks.

Provided by YP.comHad a meat pie and a jerk pork sami for the wife. Both were very good. The pork was moist, and NOT over sauced, It was nice not having to pay extra for sweet tater fries. You can choose the level of heat you want to add to your eats. This place is very reasonably priced. We will make the trip down route 7 from New Milford with much anticipation to try additional fare. Hope this place is around a good long while,

Provided by YPmobileLet me start out by saying I was very excited to try some jerk chicken I had met the owner a couple weeks ago and was really looking forward to dine good food... Unfortunately for me it was probably the worst chicken or food for that matter that I have ever had the misfortune of eating... It was very burnt.. Very dry and almost completely inedible.. Then to top it off the garbage I was fed was very expensive... My girlfriend and I each got a burnt drum stick and thigh .. She got some old dry rice and I got some burnt chicken tasting fries. This came to $30! An absolute rip off... Do yourself a favor don't ever eat at Babu's... Oh and I've been a professional chef for 25 years so I know what chicken is supposed to look like... It looked like nothing I've seen before... Very disappointed :-(
