Went to BJ on 10-31-14 with 12 family members for a senior citizens birthday. I went to counter to pay my bill and the girl wjo waited on me was rude.and obnoxious. She did not give me a dollar of my change and when i asked for it she said she gave it to me. I said no you didnt and she said ar3 you sure you didnt put it in your pocket. She was insinuating i was a thief and a liar. Ahe then took a dollar and threw it at me and it landed on the floor. She was so rude and mean. I reported her to the manager however he acted like he was not interested. I was with a party of 12 and we spent a.lot of.money and should not have been treated so badly. Needless to say that was my last.visit to boulder junction .

I would have been able to give the restaurant 4 stars if not for one HUGE problem for me. I have a very hard time understanding how a restaurant can charge a mandatory 18% gratuity to a family of 5. My husband, myself, and 3 young kids (all 4 under) visited and were charged a gratuity. Now we've visited many with our 3 kids and they ARE well behaved and I clean table/floor up after them. Never been charged before and I don't plan on going back. Food and service was good though. BUT I can get the same service and better food at many other places along Blue Mound without being charged the 18%. We always tip at least 15%-20%, but a person should have a choice (unless large group) if the service/food is terrible. Mind you the waitress only had to come back once to refill drinks...we never asked her for anything else.



Owner indicated this was the policy (not posted in menu or anywhere in establishment). He offered money on gratuity back or appetizer, but that wasn't the issue. It shouldn't have been charged to a family period with 3 very young kids.



BEWARE if you are a family of 5 with young children.

I met several friends for dinner. Food was good, service was prompt. I though we would have to wait for a table with how full the parking lot was but most of the people were at the bar.

The prime rib sandwich is the best I've ever had. The burgers are simply phoenominal and the soups are always extremely tasty!
