Founded in 1980, Precision Cable Assemblies manufactures heavy gauge wire assemblies and ground straps for original equipment manufacturers. The company also manufactures battery cables, lead wire assemblies and cable and wire harnesses. Its facilities consist of one manufacturing plant in the United States and a second location in Qingdao, China. The original 53,000 square foot facility, located in Brookfield, Wis., serves as its corporate headquarters and handles the majority of its heavy gauge cable assemblies, wire harnesses and multi-conductor assemblies. The Qingdao facility is 70,000 square feet and is used to produce larger more labor intensive wire harnesses. Its engineering department works primarily out of the Brookfield location, building prototypes, creating work instructions based on customer prints, sourcing materials specified by customers and drawing prints using AutoCAD 2000.
