Exceptional work!

I came to Dr.Peskin's office for a root canal treatment given up by other endodontists because of its extreme complexity: all specialists declared this tooth hopeless and recommended extraction. But Dr. Peskin did virtually impossible: he was able to save the tooth, which was successfully restored (crowned) right after. Dr.Peskin is extremely knowledgeable, skillful and experienced: he really has "golden" hands!

If I ever need a root canal specialist again, I'd go only to him.

I had a root canal as a teenager and it was the worst experience of my life. When I was told I needed another root canal 20 years later, I told my General Dentist to pull it. He insisted that I see Dr. Peskin prior to pulling my tooth. The consultation with Dr. Peskin was relaxing and reassuring. He told me if I had any pain during the procedure, I wouldn't have to pay the co-payment! I took him up on it. Needless to say, I gladly paid that co-payment and would enthusiastically recommend him to friends and family. Thank you so much Dr. Peskin! You're an amazing dentist!

Dr. Peskin was recommended to me by my dentist who I trust completely, and he performed a root canal for me several years ago. He was very thorough, fast, and very competent. He checked extensively into my background health history and medications, to be sure his procedure would not harm me in any way.There was no pain(except for the actual initial shots to anesthesize the area, which is unavoidable.) The root canal immediately relieved my pain and made it possible to cap the tooth, which has given me no problems. He discussed and explained all the options and details. I had no insurance, and the charge was over $1000 for less than 3 hours work;he was not willing to lower the fee for an immediate cash payment, but on-line research shows that this is the Boston area average for dentists trained and specialized in root canal work (endodontics.)



Dr. Peskin seemed so motivated to do a superior job that his intensity and need for control of the process was a little hard to take; his office help was similar. But having read other on-line reviews of root-canal work,which are about 80 % negative, I am convinced it is best to find a specialist in root canal work with a lot of experience and that this trumps a fun personality and friendly office help in a root canal dentist; I myself have had bad root canal work, resulting in cracked teeth and the need to repeat the procedure, so despite the tense bedside manner and office help, I will continue to use Dr. Peskin.
