Provided by YP.comI went to this 'dentist' Oct 31st, 2011, to fix a cracked tooth, get a general exam, and also had gaps in-between some other teeth where food was being packed in, under the gums, giving me pain when eating crunchy foods.
His repair of the cracked tooth was a root-canal. That's not the issue. It was his filing down the ridges of the tooth above it, to have his TEMP crown fit, that bothered me. He never asked if it was OK with me, to file down the healthy tooth above, and just drilled it without notice. The tooth above was perfectly healthy tooth enamel, and is now sensitive to sweet and cold foods and liquids, and the root-canal tooth still has food being packed under the gum, thru a gap he left in the crown, and hurts when eating. ... He charged $2,500.00 for this 'work'. (Finishing the root-canal / crown in 7 visits, on Dec. 12th, 2011)
He took an impression of the top and bottom teeth on that side, so why was his crown so much larger that he had to remove healthy tooth tissue to make his work fit in? (removing an entire side of the upper tooth ridges to fit in his TEMPORARY crown, below it) why not just cut down his temporary crown, and leave the upper tooth alone? Or, re-do his temp?
Shortly after he finished, I discovered another tooth he 'looked at', on the other lower-side, that I repeatedly complained of food being packed under the gum, has a gaping hole, between it, and the tooth next to it (another root-canal done ~20 years ago, not by him), but he never mentioned, to me, the gaping hole in-between that tooth, and never attempted to fix it, or clean out the tooth. He did stick his dental pick into it and saw it went thru, inside, under the large filling of that tooth, but didn't mention it at all during his examination. WHY?
His 'cleaning' was spotty at best, picking and scraping around some teeth, and minimal usage of his polisher. (I didn't want usage of his ultrasonic cleaner. I wanted a full-mouth scaling, since I didn't have one in over 25 years, but he didn't want to do it)
That last visit was an additional $290.00 and I feel I received poor over-all dental treatment for the total price paid.
The last visit (Dec. 19th, 2011) charges were as follows ...
Full-mouth X-rays $125 - Office visit $75 - 'Cleaning' $90
(there were 8 total visits, ... 7 for the root-canal and crown)
I now have more pain ... on ALL 4 sides of my mouth, ... than I had before I went to him. And have to now go to another local dentist to repair all his work.
After I get the statement of 'damages' from this new dentist, I'm filing legal charges against Dr. Albert E. Faber, in Civil Court, to recoup my payments to him, and seek punitive damages.
I'm now getting discomfort in my neck and jaw from all this.
In my case, he was dangerous to my dental health.
Good luck with yours!
