Crayons & culture is a Brooklyn based MICROSCHOOL designed for children of artists. Entrepreneurs and ALL "OUT of the BOX" thinking parents. OUR mission is to curate creative and diverse learning experiences to promote community. Love and the highest form of education. . . Self-actualization. The crayons & culture experience a read –aloud series that promotes literacy and positive self concept by providing culturally enriched experiences to newborns. Toddlers and PRE schoolers. We Begin OUR read aloud with HARAMABEE (Kiswahili for "pulling together") and continue with songs & affirmations that lead US into story time. ALL of OUR stories consists of an arts integration component that is tied to the theme of the book. The crayons & culture experience will inspire the love of reading while simultaneously building a creative thinking community!.
