I am a completion of DYC from the 45th Wave and hope that anyone who is suffering with addiction can get the experience that I did from Dynamite, The program is amazing as well as the staff. I felt so comfortable and so cared for from the first day I walked into DYC. If you or your child is struggling with addiction call DYC and go in to see what this place is about, Anyone and everyone should have this opportunity to get help in a clean and healthy setting like Dynamite... xoxoxoxo To all DYC members and staff

Mando P. you didn't say whether or not you were an addict. If you are, you sadly could not make it through this program. Either you sat on the bench and split , or you were asked to leave. The reality is that even if they are trying to change personalities, its better than living life as a junkie. Clearly the decisions that beautiful young people up there were making to get high when they were home, were not the right decisions. The upstate site is not a mansion, but rather a clean site suitable for outdoor, clean healthy living that lends itself to rehabilitation. Go to another program and see if the facilities can compare...they don't. But it's not about the facility. It's about going up there to do whatever is necessary to change the mindset of young people who are in the habit of making a bad decision to get high. Most of them are heroin addicts and pill abusers many from Staten Island. Your post sounds like a disgruntled X who simply couldn't make it. Most likely, its because you think that you can do it on your own. Or maybe you were getting the URGE and you wanted to go home to get high. Whatever it is, at the end of the day, rehab is the only thing that will give a heroin addict a chance at life. Whatever challenges they have to go through up at Dynamite, can not compare to overdosing on heroine or pills and dying. Many of them have decided to stay and face the hard road of religious reform. Its a far better cry than living your life chasing the devil drug heroin. Make no mistake that if you don't beat it, it takes the very part of you that makes you human, your soul, your heart. And when it's done and you care no more for yourself or others, you eventually die. Mando you sound so ignorant. I hope that you are not an addict. And if you are, pray for yourself everyday. Because eventually, you will get a bad batch of that demon drug, power or pill. And that will be the end for you. Keep rocking Dynamite. Save lives in any way that you can!!!

Its wrong to force someone into DYC. It's the same AA type of program. DYC is, like most centers similar to this one, is run by some wealthy board members with advanced degrees in everything but psychology and neuroscience.

Faith based healing isn't some way of healing a traumatized substance abuser. DYC tries to change your personality completely. And if your any bit different, you begin to lose privileges in the House.

Its not fair the pressure you feel from the others around you when you do not want to participate that much in DYC. Especially if you are there against your will.

I don't think its right to for DYC to change a kids personality into some kind of pack mentality thinking. No one is powerless. Anyone that tells you otherwise is selling something. In this case, its religion, and a fancy Rehab Mansion, like something off MTV. And that's really what it is.

Filled with people that truly believe they know better than the teenagers that are kept inside, therefore they should follow. Faith healing is cheap, its inexpensive, and makes the leaders in charge lots of money from Religious and State Funds at the end of each year.
