Provided by SuperpagesHere's my story: It was early June, and I'd resolved to take a cross country trip on a bike - starting in August. At the time, I didn't own a motorcycle. After much rigmarole, I stumble across Peter at Moto Borgataro. He listens to my plight, and promptly sits me down and sets a course of action for me. Within 2 weeks, I had a beautiful '81 BMW R65. In the following weeks, I logged a few thousand miles locally in order to work out any unseen kinks with Peter. Come August, we've got the R65 primed and ready to go. 7000 miles and 16 days later, I arrive San Francisco, without a single hitch. I credit my success to Peter and the superior service and guidance I received over the course of those 7 weeks in Brooklyn. Not only are Peter's technical abilities and know-how exceptional, but he is a righteous dude! There isn't an ounce of pretension in the air around Peter. He keeps you up to speed and explains things thoroughly. If I still lived in NYC, I wouldn't take my R65 anywhere else.

Provided by SuperpagesOK I am a believer. This shop has lots of cool looking german, italian & harley bikes in various states & fun to visit. Peter was able to order me original brake pads for my bmw x-country direct from italy ( brembo ) , so OEM for the BMW for less money and fast delivery. On a recent visit, I had a rear flat that my local tire shop and ( oddly ) the downtown Ducati dealership fixed only to have it go flat again. Peter gave me a tow ( for much less than, say, MotorGrrl ) and found the real problem ( a bit of the steel belt in the tire sticking out) instead of just jacking in another tube like the last two did. so, great service, price conscious, cool bikes, nice leather club chair to sit in while paying the bill, leftover good vibes from the Crescent City, whaddya want from life ?

Provided by SuperpagesPete is the name of the proprietor and he is absolutely the best. I have never experience such friendly, professional and courteous service. Most bike shops give you a ton of attitude and an ounce of skill. Pete gives zero attitude and knows his stuff. He treats you like a customer rather than a beggar. When I first brought my old BSA in he sat me down and took a half hour asking me questions about the bike to get a complete history so he knew how to proceed. I can't recommend this guy enough.
