With the support and encouragement of HIS lovely wife. Tony opened HIS first eatery in Carroll gardens. An often crowded Sandwich and specialties shop on CHEEVER place. After a FEW years this popular little shop became TOO small to satisfy ALL of HIS loyal customers and their appetite for TONY'S many ONE of a kind specials. . In 1983 tony opened the RED rose with a cozy dining room, a brick oven and a full service BAR here on smith street. . Tony. Anna and santo finally established the Family style restaurant of their dreams right here in the neighborhood they have always loved. ~the RED rose of Carroll gardens~ the RED rose is still FAMILY-RUN.
