Rimma Gelbert is a friendly and capable primary care physician serving the city of Brooklyn, NY. Originally from Ukraine, Dr. Gelbert immigrated to the United States at age 14. She later completed her medical training at the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Gelbert’s fluency in English, Ukrainian, Polish, and Russian makes her widely accessible to patients from varying backgrounds. She is uncompromising in her dedication to the wellbeing of her patients. However, it is her attention to detail and her compassionate nature that truly set her apart. She takes her time to understand symptoms and can be counted on to provide the correct diagnoses every time. Dr. Gelbert is Board certified by the American Osteopathic Board of Family Physicians and a member of the American Osteopathic Association. Some of the services she offers include annual physical exams, cardiovascular screenings, ABI, tests for ostheoporosis, flu shots and many more. She has won the Patients’ Choice Award and the Compassionate Doctor Recognition for the care and deference she shows all of her patients. Outside of work, Dr. Gelbert enjoys running and reading.
