Provided by YP.comAs soon as you enter, you are greeted by a dog and though I am a dog lover, I DO NOT like dog hair on my yarn (I sell my products and gentle washing does not eliminate dog dander - my baby neice is proof of this. Any more aggressive washing would ruin delicate and/or painstakingly created work). Their prices are inflated - do yourself a favor and search online (the shipping fee only would be worth paying than the store's price plus tax). There *is* an assortment of roving if you can spin (one of the reasons I wanted to check out the store) but there's NOTHING to help the beginning spinner when it comes to equipment (the spinner I saw was $500.00 and it wasn't the best). As far as yarn assortment, I'd go to The Point in SoHo or Perl in South Street. The owner/employee has no interest in assisting a customer with yarn selection and they have the audacity to hussle you into taking a knitting lesson if you're asking the most simple of question such as "will this yarn make warm sock?" or "what fiber is good for detailing and more advanced decorated techniques?" Good luck with your search and I hope I saved some people their time!
