Woodland Elementary School offers a variety of educational and extracurricular programs and activities to students in grades kindergarten through six. WDTV, a production created, produced, directed and televised by student volunteers, broadcasts live each morning at the school. Choir students in grades five and six perform as musical ambassadors at schools and nursing homes. Children have an opportunity to enhance their thinking skills and expand their knowledge through participating in activities offered in its enrichment room or by working with the talented and gifted program s teachers. A technology integration teacher works with teachers and students to integrate technology into the curriculum, building skills and allowing students to demonstrate their knowledge through multiple applications. An artist-in-residence program is implemented for children in grades one through six, introducing them to various artists and media, and guiding them to create their own work. Woodland Elementary School is located in Brooklyn Park, Minn.
