Provided by YP.comWorst place I've ever taken my dog to. I can't believe the "good" reviews, they must be from staff members. When I called to make an appt. I asked the receptionist if the doctors would give me a prescription for Adequan, which is an injectable drug for arthritis and was told YES. Adequan is very expensive at the vets and much cheaper at some of the online pet meds suppliers. This vet doesn't even carry or prescribe Adequan. I also asked if they would give my dog the shot, of course I expected to pay for this service and was told YES. My dog has severe arthritis in his joints and back, yet they made him stand, by tying him to the exam table, the entire time we were there. The vet said I should do blood tests before giving the Adequan and I agreed. The vet and vet tech started trying to get blood from his back legs and kept jabbing him with a needle, but couldn't find the vein, so I had to suggest they try a front leg and they finally found a vein.
The vet made it seem like she would give the prescription for Adequan and said the office manager would actually order it for me from PetMeds.com, where the drug was cheapest. Even though I made it very clear that I wanted to try Adequan for my dog, the vet tried to sell me all kinds of expensive, dangerous drugs for arthritis. Drugs that required a blood test every few weeks to check his liver enzymes. When the vet called about my dogs blood test results, I asked about the Adequan and she said there was a problem. She claimed the manufacturer doesn't advise people to buy from anyone but them and of course, it would cost a lot more. Also, the vet said there would be a problem giving my dog the shots, if I didn't buy the meds from them. There are loads of people buying Adequan from places like PetMeds.com. Obviously there are a lot of vets who actually give their clients a prescription for this medication and will give the shots if the client finds it too hard to do themselves. This vet took my money (I paid $200.00 for a complete blood work up,) promised me a prescription for the meds, made me wait, then left me hanging! I am very angry and upset over this entire scam. If you love your pet and can't afford to lose money, don't take your furkid here.
