Provided by YP.comI took a long wool coat here to have the liner replaced. After years of wear, the liner had ripped and I need to have it replaced so I could give the coat to my daughter. Unfortunately I had thrown away the torn pieces of the liner, which the woman at S&M explained to me I should not do in the future, as this could have been used as a pattern for the new liner, making the job easier and less expensive. She gave me a quote and had me pick a new liner fabric, and completed the work. It was not cheap, but the new liner is better than the original, and the work they did is excellent. My daughter has now been wearing the coat for a while with absolutely no issues. I will definitely visit this tailor again as I now need a sleeve liner repaired on a coat I ordered online (it was sewn improperly).

Provided by YP.comAWFUL service. I went in with a pair of pants that needed a new stitch and the lady there told me to do it myself and that she didn't have time to do it. I also brought in a dress that needed a new zipper and the lady asked why I bought such an expensive broken dress, and that she didn't want to fix it for me. She then told me it would cost $30, and went on laughing about how I bought a broken dress. Next, she told me she didn't have time to help me because it was too difficult for her. I was so taken back with the fact that this is her job, and she's telling me to sew my dress and pants myself! I've never written a review for anyone, but this place is complete garbage and shouldn't be allowed in the community. The rudest human being I've ever met. Please don't support this dump.

Provided by YP.comI call them twice to ask for an alteration, the person who answer the call did not want to talk to me, due to my spanish accent, he hanged up the phone both times.
Just to let you know my experience.

This is a true mom and pop shop which I like to support. I have taken a variety of requests for alterations from jackets to jeans and they have done a very professional job with all of them. I explained what I wanted, and they took the time to measure them on me and give me the best options. They are very friendly and professional. I would recommend.

We have taken several different items of clothing (from men's slacks to a 3-piece grandmother's outfit for a wedding)to these folks and have always been very pleased. They have been courteous and conscientious, and very reasonably priced. One needs to be specific about what he or she expects of the end product.

I took 3 sets of pillowcases into this establishment to be hemmed. I had hand-embroidered designs onto the pre-stamped pillowcases and simply needed to have the hems stitched. 2 of the pillow case sets had a scalloped hem. The seamstress didn't even bother to follow the scalloped edge when cutting off the excess material on the scalloped sets, instead, she just cut straight across the bottom, stitched a straight hem and charged me $10.00 for the incompetent job. I'm going to have to put some type of lace edging on the 2 scalloped sets to cover up the botched hem. Worst job I've ever seen.
