Owner was not very pleasant to me. I guess she is very frustrated that business isn't too good and she took it out on me. "I've heard them all (excuses)...why you are not going to buy". "One thing about Brownsville people... THEY DON'T BUY!!!" Well, I do buy. But I'm not a beginner. It really has to be something I want and it has to be good. I have A LOT of stuff after years of collecting. I don't want garage sale type items at high end antique prices. I didn't feel very welcome. Funny, because her downstairs neighbor is so nice and even promoted her shop for her even though I've gone there on three occasions and she wasn't open during hours she advertised as being open. I don't know, maybe she just doesn't like men. The shop is mostly geared to women.
