I rented the Los Compadres Ballroom for my wedding day. Big mistake. I paid $1850 and on the day of my wedding the place was a disaster. My now husband spent the entire day there helping arrange tables and clean up the place. We were late to our ceremony because he was trying to make the place presentable for our reception. He and the florist/decorator and the catering service we hired were the ones to get the place together. There was dead roaches on the floor, it smelt of mildew, and the carpet looked as if ti hadn't been vacuumed in weeks. My husband had to help vacuum the place! The lady in charge of the ballroom was so rude! She told us on the day of the wedding that our caterers would not be allowed to use the kitchen attached to the ballroom to set up the food. They had to set up in the ballroom itself. This lady was very unprofessional. When decided to have my wedding there I didn't expect to be treated the way I did. I am so disappointed with the treatment I received and the condition of the ballroom. The restrooms were dirty and one of toliet seats was broken. The temperature was uncomfortable. I paid way too much for what I received. Most of all the fact the the groom himself was working to make the place presentable was a disgrace. It was his day too! The behavior of the lady was uncalled for. I would never recommend anyone rent this place for their special day! Thanks the catering service I did hire, the florist/decorator, and the band (who had to themselves clean the stage they performed on) the outcome of my wedding was a success.
