Noted as one of America's leading photographers, Tom Jones has received numerous state, regional and national awards for his photojournalism, illustrative scenic, and classic portraitures. Tom's distinctive images serve as illustrations for several books and calendars featuring his black and white images of Maine. His work has appeared in many national publications, including Time, Newsweek, People and National Geographic.

Mr. Jones' portraits include photographs of many music and screen personalities, Olympic athletes, presidents, royalty, heads of state and leaders of commerce. Tom's work was selected to be displayed in the "Innovations East" building at Epcot. His work has been placed in nomination for The Pulitzer prize in photojournalism and he was named "Photographer of The Year" by The New England Press Association two years in a row.

Tom Jones served as President of the Maine Professional Photographers Association and Vice President of the Professional Photographers Association of New England. In 1979, Tom was awarded the coveted degree of Photographic Craftsman by the Professional Photographers of America.

In 1980, Mr. Jones received the degree of Master Photographer from the Professional Photographers of America, a degree less than 900 people in the world had held. A skilled lecturer in photography, Mr. Jones has spoken at colleges and universities throughout New England, to professional photographic seminars from coast to coast and at National Conventions of the Professional Photographers of America.
