BEWARE I do not know how these people can continue to breed and be approved they have the sickest and most unhealthy chickens with upper respiratory BUYER BEWARE DO NOT BUY SICK SICK SICK they play dumb and sell to unaware novices who get chickens do not understand why they die and in fact mine all died I isolated mine i have from before did not get there and in fact my window installer bought 100 dollars of chicks they all were sick with respiratory they were new and unaware all died they could not understand why. When I was there chickens were dead everywhere she was busy did not care I saw about 20 dead other chickens were eating them her pictures look nice but she is a dirty hatchery respiratory infested and all chickens are mixed up . Her sons and entire family are in business they are rough and rude and her place is a disgusting mess. People mostly novices do not understand why their chickens are sick they play dumb. SO SAD

I bought eight chickens and when we took them home, we noticed half of them were missing feathers under the wings from mites, and three had upper respiratory congestion. In two days, one developed serious pneumonia. Within three weeks, four have respiratory issues and three have eyes shut. The vet recommends I should cull all of them because they are contaminated and will infect all the other chickens, now and in the future. They were super expensive, too. It's a damage close to $200.

My wife and I went to poultry Hollow to get some chickens and ducks. We had a warm reception from Judy, who showed us the farm and explained the varieties of chickens. She was very knowledgeable and answered all of our many questions, and supplied us with everything necessary for them, as we were new at this. Judy also had organic poultry that we purchased and they were excellent. We had made soup with one of them and it was the best! My wife and I would highly recommend Poultry Hollow Hatchery.

It was with some trepidation that I visited Poultry Hollow Hatchery after reading some less that flattering reviews, but I had the recommendation of a trusted friend. I saw poultry of all ages and breeds, they were in roomy pens with clean bedding, fresh water and food. I noticed no smell, no diseased or deformed birds. Tthe owner was pleasant and forthcoming, answering my questions and volunteering information. I got the pullets I wanted and was satisfied with their selection.

NASTY, don't believe the website. It was a nasty place. Over priced sick birds. I purchased 6 because my grand kids were with me and 2 died from disease within a month and another is now ill.

One star is too kind. We went there for chickens today after losing 3 babies last week to a predator. The conditions were wretched. Overcrowding, feces everywhere, sick birds, injured birds, all breeds/ages/sexes smashed in tiny areas all together. There were probably hundreds of birds in one little 4x8 foot space, the same area we have set aside for our 6 chickens! Also, the prices were FAR above the going rate. We only left there with any birds to save them from that misery. We even took one with a broken foot and and huge gash on her leg so that we could get her to a vet and hopefully give her a happy life. I cannot believe this place hasn't been shut down!

Nasty/overcrowded/sick animals

We found the website and with all that we saw it seemed like a wonderful place to order from. As we were planning to be in the Carthage area on today we decided to stop in DUI g open hours and I have to admit I was EXTREMELY APPAULED! The living conditions were FILTHY!!! Chicken feces everywhere and the ammonia made my eyes water. There were chickens of every breed mixed in together both Roos and hens. Obvious crossbreeds were also noted. The overcrowding was shocking.... I counted nearly 60 in one small horse like stall that had no moving air. Another had hens that were nearly bald due to some of the others pecking and pulling them. (fan, wind machine etc) There was only one small box fan pointed at the top of a slightly propped chick box containing several apx 3-4 week old chicks that were panting badly and very little of the air was getting to them. In the run there were sick hens lying about and layers upon layers of packed down feces. Eye infections were everywhere. I don't think I will EVER buy online again! If this is how online hatcheries are... I'd rather buy in my county.
