On a weekend in October, I needed a last minute inexpensive room in Elkins, WV, and since none were available, reserved the closest available in Buckhannon. We checked in and found that the Colonial's office and hotel portion was in a heavily modified (for fire and safety reasons) Victorian home. Nonetheless the old grandeur could still be found. Our room was in the more modern motel portion. We were pleased with the room, in that it was very clean, immaculate really, spacious, with a spiffy bathroom. The décor was basic, but pleasant. The management was very helpful when we had a problem. The internet connection was good. Nothing more to say, we got what we wanted. It's location was very convenient, just off US 33. We were very pleased.
