I had a similar experience with the owner. She's extremely judgemental not to mention mental. For a business owner to tell the parent that their child is fine, but the parent "is not a good fit for the school"... What the heck is she talking about? Had my child there for about 6 months but because I didn't mingle with her or some of the teachers for longer than 5 minutes everyday, I was told I was "not interested enough in my child's progress". WHAT?!?? Unless a problem or situation arose, their was no real need to sit down to tea daily with the staff or the owner. One day I sent my child off to this place, I got a call that my child had fallen ill after lunch with diarrhea and that I needed to pick him up. Whe I arrived, the owner was irate with me because supposedly I had been 'dishonest' in leaving him there, "knowing he was sick". Again, WHAT!!??! If I had known through some magical crystal ball that he'd wind sick, I would have kept him home. She's insane. STAY WELL AWAY FROM THS PLACE. Staff is a high turn over rate as well. This owner is a micromanager from what I had seen, and normal people don't put up with that for too long. She'll boast that her school has such a great curriculum etc, but be prepared to be judged unfairly and walk on egg shells. Ridiculous. I know 2 of my neighbors that pulled their kid outta their too. When we asked them why, they both responded with pretty much the same answers. "The owner".

The owner has so upset and offended me that I am going to let other parents know so that they can avoid such an awful experience themselves:

I toured the Buda location this morning with my two children (2 and 4 years old.) After the tour, I asked the owner what I needed to do to hold the two spots, since the center was almost full and she said there were only two spots available. The owner told me that, before I left the center (as in right then and there), I should leave 350 dollars--for registration and a deposit.

I told her that I don't like to make decisions that quickly, that I needed a little time to think it over. Her tone immediately changed to "well, I mean no disrespect, but the first person who walks through that door is going to get the spot. I won't hold any places." She seemed irked that I wasn't immediately on board. It was a marked shift and rather strange.

So I left and thought about it for an hour and decided to hold the spots--that while the center is not nearly as clean and wonderful and appealing as where my kids are now, that it was quite a bit cheaper, and I am a teacher on a tight budget so money matters.

So, not wanting to lose the spots, I called. The owner then proceeded to tell me that she "declined" (her words) my wish to put my children there. She said that (after seeing my children for a total of two minutes, as she was NOT the one to give the tour) that my children weren't listening to me and seemed to have a hard time following my directions.

This is a total crock. NOT TRUE and NOT FAIR. And if somebody comes back and writes a review otherwise, let me just say now that it's a total lie. She was in effect saying (after two minutes) that my children weren't well behaved. I think while I was talking to her, my children opened up a supply closet to see what was inside. WOW-- so badly behaved. They had been good and attentive for at least 30 minutes while I talked to another lady. They were bored and ready to do something.

I assess this whole awful interaction in one of two ways: 1. She was mad that I did not sign up on the spot and that led to her "decline" or

2. That she is an incredibly rude and judgmental person to decide how my children are after ZERO words with them and so very little interaction. NOT FAIR and really upsetting to a mother who loves her children.

So, my recommendation for this place is a BIG FAT NO NO NO NO.
