Established in 1991, Central Coast Water Authority constructs, manages and operates local facilities for the distribution and treatment of water in Santa Barbara County, Calif. The water authority is composed of various public agencies, including the cities of Buellton, Guadalupe, Santa Barbara and Santa Maria, Calif., Carpinteria Valley, Goleta and Montecito water districts, and Santa Ynez River Water Conservation District. In addition, Central Coast Water Authority has an associate member, the La Cumbre Mutual Water Company. The water authority s staff monitor all required water quality parameters at the Polonio Pass water treatment plant and at each turnout and tank site along its pipeline. As a wholesaler and service provider, the water authority monitors all parameters requested by its project participants, as well as those mandated by state and federal regulators. Central Coast Water Authority is located in Buellton, Calif.
