Horrible

It pains me that I have to give this salon one star, because it really deserves no stars.

I went to this salon for the first time today, saw Marcy and asked for 2 inches off of my hair in a blunt, even cut all the way around. Instead, I got 6 inches off one side, 7 inches off the other, and 5 off in the back. She started cutting my hair in the back, so I couldn't see what was happening, and it wasn't until she started cutting the front that I realized how many inches come off. I was so upset and just wanted to get out of there, and it wasn't until I got home that I realized not only had she taken off so much length, but it was multiple inches shorter on the left side and multiple inches longer in the back.

I went back, where I spoke to Linda, the manager, Marilyn, the owner. I showed them the cut, and they both winced and agreed that it was truly awful. But instead of apologizing or calling over the stylist who had cut my hair, they proceeded to act out the most bizarre and truly awful display of customer service I've ever seen. It stared out normally: They told me I could have my hair fixed by "someone good", but I explained that this was my first time in the salon and that the results of the haircut gave me no confidence in their establishment and that I didn't want to chance it getting any worse. I just wanted my money back and I wanted to go home and have someone else fix it, someone who I could trust. Linda and the mystery woman then began raising their voices at me, saying "How dare you judge our establishment based on one person, who is clearly having an off day?" "We don't do refunds and we certainly can't give you one." "We think you're being ridiculous and unfair by not letting us send you to another stylist." "Your behavior is unbelievable." Let me tell you, it is never fun to be yelled at, but it's especially awful when you just drove back to a salon where you received a hack job of a hair cut and spent an hour crying in your car.

Finally, Linda threw up her hands and said, "Fine! Just give this girl her refund." But even after agreeing, Marilyn flanked my side and kept repeating how "unfair" I was being and how she couldn't believe that I was asking for a refund and wasn't letting someone else cut my hair. I am a very mild mannered person, and it takes a lot to set me off, but I ended up cursing at these woman on the way out because I had never been treated so horribly, and all I had done was ask them to fix a mistake they made.

THE GOOD NEWS: I went to Mario Tricoci in Hawthorn Mall and got my hair fixed by professionals. The lovely stylist, Lola, kept repeating, "How did they do this to you?" "What did they do to your hair?" and "Do they have any trained stylists at this place you went?" She didn't charge me for the cut, and THAT is customer service.

I went to this salon and asked for 2 inches off. I got 6 inches taken off one side, 7 off another, and 5 off the back. Not only get she take way too much off, but it was so bizarrely uneven that it looked like a child had cut my hair.

To make matters worse, when I asked for a refund, I was spoken to by the manager Linda in the rudest possible way. Instead of apologizing, she refused to give me a refund and said, "How dare you judge our establishment based on one person, who was clearly having an off day." She finally gave me a refund, but not after making me feel even worse than when I was crying in my car after the hack job of a haircut I received.

I cannot stress enough how traumatic this whole experience has been. DO NOT GO HERE.

Great experience!

Was a first-time client last week. Had a no chip manicure and pedicure with Mimi. She was so thorough! My hands and feet have never looked or felt so good! She was very sweet and I will definitely be going back. The salon is beautiful, very clean and the receptionists were very friendly. I was also given a "New Client Card" with future discounts on all the services offered at the salon. If my first experience was an example of the quality of this salon, I certainly look forward to trying all the services offered

A fantastic experience!

Experienced The Best Salon and Spa today for the first time. It was amazing! I was greeted with smiles from the reception staff who were very kind and showed me where to go since it was my first visit. Then they kept track of me all through my services to make sure I got where I was going. I had the best and most thorough pedicure I have ever had by Mimi. Then I was in their beautiful spa for a wax by Kamilla - my brows look perfect! Then off to my hairdresser, Ewa, who gave me a whole new look which I LOVE! Then Gloria, their make-up artist got hold of me and revamped my make-up for FREE! The receptionist was very friendly and commented on the new look. This was an all-over fantastic experience. I will definitely return for more!

Not worth the money.

Had a manicure and a pedicure at this salon two days ago and now need to go some place else. Manicure looks like a child did it - polish on the skin, cuticles uncut, and I ended up fixing some of the "work" myself at home.Pedicure was even worse - went home with rough heels. The nail tech started cleaning the pedicure chair (the tub itself) while I was still sitting there and drying my toenails (it was her suggestion I stay there). The chemicals in the cleaner made me cough and sneeze.I paid extra $5 for them to use some special stuff to dissolve calluses/dry skin (they don't use razors on feet) but that was a waste of money. Only one side of each heel was scrubbed well enough to get the dry skin off.Women at the front desk were not that welcoming. I checked in and checked out without so much as a "hello" or "thank you" at the end.I don't reccomend this place unless you like spending your money twice and going some place after visiting the "best" salon.

THE NAME SAYS IT ALL!

I RECENTLY MOVED HERE FROM CALIFORNIA AND TOOK MY 3 CHILDREN TO THE BEST FOR THEIR BACK -TO-SCHOOL HAIRCUTS. THEIR RECEPTION STAFF WAS VERY FRIENDLY AND MADE US FEEL WELCOME AND COMFORTABLE. EACH OF MY CHILDREN HAD A DIFFERENT STYLIST AND THEY ALL LOOKED GREAT! BEFORE WE LEFT I SCHEDULED AN APPOINTMENT FOR MYSELF THE FOLLOWING DAY FOR A MANICURE, PEDICURE AND HAIRCUT. WHEN I RETURNED, THEY GREETED ME LIKE A FRIEND AND ONCE AGAIN, ALL MY SERVICES WERE EXCEPTIONAL.! THE BEST IS THE MOST WELCOMING, MOST PROFESSIONAL, MOST CLIENT-ORIENTED SALON I HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED AND I CAN'T WAIT TO RETURN FOR MY SPA DAY!
