We've been going to Brennan's for over 25 years, but our recent experience will keep us away for a long time. My husband, son and I were dining there on a Saturday night. The restaurant was quite full, and we were seated in a booth toward the back of the restaurant where the kitchen and waitress station are. When we were about halfway through our meal (which was only average), our waitress and began a loud argument with another waitress that lasted through the rest of our meal. They were oblivious to the fact that diners were turning to stare and sending them dirty looks. When a manager came to break it up, I assumed that he'd have the good sense to lead them back into the relative privacy of the kitchen. No such luck. He jumped into the fray, and we had to hear the whole thing re-hashed. Brennan's used to be a fun neighborhood pub with better than average food. But they've expanded and, in trying to accommodate far too many tables, have allowed their food and service to suffer. There are many better choices within a stone's throw.

I had a terrible time at this store just trying to buy some fish and supplies. The staff eyeballed me, but never offered any help. I brought it to the attention of the store manager who didn't seam to give a hoot. Then after chasing down a staff member to catch some fish, I was charged $1 more per fish than the price posted. I told the cashier. I was told "That's the price in the computer" and continued to ring up my transaction. It's probably my last trip there due to an earlier visit as well. During that earlier visit, I went in to buy fish food and was on the phone with my husband to make sure I got the right kind, one of the male employees said to another employee "watch her". I've never stolen anything in my life and I am an adult over 40, who doesn't wear anything that would make me look like a criminal. I guess maybe they saw that I was about to ask for help as soon as I got off the phone. Ironically, I think it was an attempt to dissuade me from asking for help. I will let the company know about this slap in the face. I'm pretty sure we have an item pricing law in this state or county. I found the store manager after a 20 minute search since the employees wouldn't help me and was informed that the price in the computer was the right price again! So, where does that leave me? My husband went in the next day and that manager wasn't on duty yet, it was after 1 o'clock by then, but he was told she should have been there by now. It seams a shame that the item pricing law can be violated without the stores boss being concerned. I used my Petco pals card which has all my info on it and nobody ever called, it makes me sick, goodbye Petco.

I was very impressed with this store. I was having a hard time finding Hills Science Diet and they have it in every size bag you can imagine. While I was there I noticed there is quite a large selection of different brands of food.
