Rick Bagwell started in the carpet cleaning business in 1991, when he opened Suburban Chem-Dry and Chem-Dry of Gainesville. He bought one franchise in DeKalb County (GA) and continued to grow the business into six franchises.

His philosophy was simple: treat everybody the same so you don’t have to remember how you treated anyone. And the “same” to Rick meant with respect, integrity, care and concern.

In 2006, Rick's  life was cut short by cancer. His wife Patti Bagwell now runs the business, and carries on Rick's business philosophy. Patti has stayed with the Chem-Dry business because she believes Chem-Dry offers a superior cleaning process that enhances the look of carpet and upholstery. It cleans better, reduces recurring stains, and is safe and non-toxic for the family and pets.

Suburban Chem-Dry is proud that we have technicians with longevity with our company! We don't experience the typical turnover than other carpet cleaning companies have because we treat our staff and our customers all the same: with respect, integrity, care and concern!
