Just joined today. Have always been a Costco member before. My friends told me to join Sams so you don't have to deal with the crowds at Costco. Everyone was very nice. Store was pleasantly uncrowded ( part of the reason we switched from Costco! ). But I have to admit I was shocked when I went to check out and there was only one cashier. Really? There were 4 orders in front of us and at least 7 behind us. One person in front of us had three carts and a huge pallet full of food items..... $710.00 worth. But they still would not open another register. ridiculous. I felt so bad for our cashier. You could see other employees just milling about while she was working her tail off and dealing with angry customers. Think I might just go back to Costco its always crowded but at least they have enough cashiers to handle it.
