For as long as I can remember, anytime that I needed something from the hardware store, I always went to ACE instead of Lowes or Home Depot FIRST. Not anymore! In fact, I will never spend another penny at ACE. Today, I was very disappointed when I went to return a few items, to be told that "THEY DO NOT ACCEPT RETURNS FOR ITEMS BOUGHT PRIOR TO A HURRICANE OR TROPICAL STORM" In other words, they have no problem robbing you blind (price gouging) by charging $60.00 for a 50' extension cord, but if you want to return it - FORGET IT. After today, I would encourage anyone in need of ANY hardware item to quickly cross ACE off of your list. Go to Lowes or HD instead - they will serve you graciously, and if you need to return something - NO PROBLEM! How dare ACE take advantage of people in preparation for a hurricane! I hope they go out of business QUICK! They deserve it!
