Out of the two recycling businesses in the area, this is the best, for two key reasons.



Number one on my list is the respect with which you are treated as a customer. At J & J's, they make you feel as though you are important to them and a valued part of their business.



The other scrap yard in the area, treats their customer with contempt and disdain. Therefore, I usually choose J & J's despite its being 12 miles farther away (round trip)



At J & J's, they unload your scrap for you. At the other yard, you not only have to do it yourself, but are generally nagged about the way you're doing it the entire time.



A J & J's they offer you an ice cold drink when you cash out. At the other yard, they offer you nothing.



Number two is that J & J's typically pays higher prices for key items. Scrap prices can fluctuate on a daily basis, but it's been my experience that J & J's pays a better price overall.



In talking with several other scrappers at the yard and on the street, I've found that those that choose J & J's over the other yard, are doing it for the same reasons.
