Stefano Ashbridge gets my highest possible recommendation to anyone interested in learning to play the drums. I've been taking lessons with him for about a year and a half, and have gone from an absolute beginner (no drumming experience whatsoever) to feeling confident even in an improv setting, which is saying something. Each lesson, indeed the whole curriculum, is focused on YOU, as opposed to being based on a generic "one size fits all" approach. Whatever goal you have in mind for this instrument, he can get you there.
In terms of his personality as an instructor, Stefano has a warm, approachable manner and a keen sense of humor. His affection for all kinds of music is contagious, and you'll never want for inspiration, material, or encouragement with him as a teacher.
