I'm not a hard-core gamer by any stretch of the imagination, but I enjoy playing board games with my children, and the selection here is varied enough that I can always find something interesting to bring home. The space is clean, spacious and well-lit, and the staff is surprisingly charming; they also offer figurine painting classes and were willing to accommodate my nine-year-old's interest despite the classes not being expressly for children. That positive experience kicked off his growing interest in modeling -- he's currently constructing a five-foot-long dinosaur diorama.

Emerald Knights is good game store experience. They have a friendly staff. They are a hybrid comic/tabletop shop so they have a small selection but can order any board game. They work with the community of small indie game and comic makers and host special events. They mostly have Magic and D&D events, but there's also friendly and open gaming some nights on their second floor.

A comic and game shop. I go for games which they have a decent selection of and they have space upstairs for gaming.
