Provided by YPmobileBought the Bomsund couch frame and after hours of waiting in store, I got home and discovered THE WHOLE BACK of the frame missing. After waiting months to purchase a couch I'm so disappointed that, not only is the couch missing the entire back portion, but I had to wait on hold with the store for over an hour just to be told that I'd have to wait another whole day to go pick up the piece myself. Meaning ive purchased and item I cannot use, at no fault of my own. As well as I now have to disrupt my whole life on a Monday morning to fix an issue that was clearly Ikeas fault. This means I will lose out on work to fix a manufacturing issue I had nothing to do with.
Avoid this Ikea in Burbank, but if also warn against going to Ikea all together. I was forced to listen to an automated message for over an hour, on constant loop, regarding how convienent it is to make purchases, and how customer service is their main priority. This is clearly not the case.

Provided by YP.comIt's really convenient having an IKEA nearby. Looking forward to the new one coming soon. The people who work here are always friendly and helpful. Kids really enjoy the cafeteria. They love the meatballs with gravy. Can't leave without the $3 cinnamon buns and $1 soft serve.

Provided by YPmobileThis IKEA is ok. The only things I buy from ikea is organizational products. Their furniture is blah. The service is not very good. You can never find anyone to help you, the lines take forever to check out and returning something is horrible. Hopefully things will be better when the new one opens next year.

Provided by YPmobileI love being local to this store! It's a madhouse on weekends but when the new larger location opens next spring the congestion in the store and parking lot should ease! Slated to be the largest IKEA store in all of North America! It's fun to check the as-is section for DIY projects or a great deal on a display item!

Provided by YP.comThis place is a zoo, and I'm not keen on the wafting smell of Swedish meatballs that permeates the second floor. The parking garage is also rather far from the pick-up area, making buying larger items something of a pain. (Don't even get me started on putting the furniture together.)

Provided by YPmobileWhen it comes to Ikea, you just try to go to the closest one. In this case, that means the worst parking situation ever, to the point where you almost die in the parking lot. Once you get inside, it's not so bad, very crowded but decent displays and selection. Most everything is usually in Stock. The sales staff are pretty helpful.

Provided by YPmobileIf you don't want to lose a limb for a piece of furniture IKEA will become your closest friend. Plus, the furniture looks great. One negative thing is the material isn't sturdy most of the time compared to furniture that costs thousands of dollars but it will suffice.

Provided by YPmobileNice clean store in Burbank. My only issue is that the parking is across the street.

Provided by YP.comUPDATE:
After my bad experience Brandon contacted me, and he kindly explained me that I can get a refund, because delivery company supposed to deliver if there is a representative as mentioned in Delivery Terms and Conditions. Then someone called Maria contacted me by phone, asked me again very nicely; if I would like to reschedule delivery without any extra fee, or cancel and get a full refund. I really appreciate all this effort, Brandon and Maria tried to address the issue nicely and professionally. But to get there I needed to go through a very frustrating week and write a review online. This time I decided to cancel, I still believe there are serious things need to be addressed by IKEA about customer service, very inconsistent behavior. However as a result of getting responsive help at the end, I would like to update my review and rating.
OLD REVIEW:
I went to store and made purchase and requested for home delivery. And I've scheduled it with my apartments management, so they would let the company into my place and assist them until they do their job and sign.
But when the company arrived, they called me they told me that I have to be there for them to get in, and I insist them to let my manager them in, but they didn't accept. I don't have much to do on phone, they just didn't want to get in with the manager. However, Delivery Terms and Conditions clearly states as
"1.3 Who needs to sign for my delivery?
Either you or your representative, that is 18 years of age or older, must be present to receive the merchandise at the agreed upon day and time window." They didn't care.
So after the failure I called the customer service throughout the entire week, and they were keep telling me that they did their part, they attempted but I wasn't there. They don't have any legal and logical argument. They were keep asking for rescheduling with extra fee. At last today I talked to that person called from the store Raul, it was a similar conversation, and I finally cancelled for refund. But they are going to keep the delivery fee, A FEE FOR A SERVICE THAT THEY DID NOT PROVIDE.
It is so unbelievable to me for a person or a company casually holding the money without providing any service.

Provided by YP.comThey have really nice merchandise and above-average policies, but the service can be dissapointing-- especially when they crash into the power box of JonTron's building.

Provided by YP.comSummary: 1) Two deliveries in a row with missing items 2) Rude returns & exchanges manager 3) No one seems to care about customer service issues at this store
Went to order a closet system and spoke with a 'PAX' specialist who gave me information. Set up the order online and discovered that the doors were not available. Called the home ordering line and the representative didn't know what was and what wasn't in stock. Forced to go back to the store again and order in the store. I paid for their pick and delivery service and the items were delivered. 1 week later when my contractors go to build all my cabinets, we discover that the frames for the wardrobes weren't even there!
Because IKEA doesn't handle customer service issues by phone, I was forced to go back to the store now for the third time! At the customer service desk it was discovered that the so-called 'PAX specialist' didn't include the frames in the order. I was forced to pay for the items that weren't included in the original order and was given $50 in compensation for gas. They wouldn't even refund the original delivery charge! Top it all off with the fact that the manager of the returns department, Natalee, was completely childish and unprofessional. This included rolling her eyes at my request for a shipping refund and general inappropriate body language.
And did I mention that this is the second time that items were missing from my delivery order in a 6 month period?!
After having used IKEA on many projects over the years, I'm sorry to say that this was the final straw. When your store trains employees to do their job properly and be respectful to customers, maybe I'll consider coming back.

Provided by YP.comI hadn't been here in a few years and needed some dishes so while the selection wasn't enormous, I found what I needed at a good price.
